  • May 28 - we are participating in the annual ethnic food festival in Balboa Park

The Israel Day Lawn Program
was a huge success!

Here are the results of the Matzoh Challenge

Our not so scientific study produced some interesting results. 110 people taste-tested  the Matzoh, although not all testers voted on all 5 flavors.

The table below shows the results. The higher the number, the better people liked it. From most liked to least, here is the order:

  1. 1.  Grape
    2.  Egg
    3.  Regular
    4.  Whole Wheat
    5.  Shmura

Flavor/Score 1 2 3 4 5 6 Avg
Regular 7 13 24 16 19 26 4.00
Egg 6 11 24 21 24 21 4.02
Shmura 7 19 26 25 16 11 3.55
Grape 4 7 16 14 29 36 4.56
Whole Wheat 8 20 17 21 21 18 3.77
mean 0.06 0.13 0.02 0.18 0.21 0.21 1.00

Overall we conclude that most people like matzoh and are open to experiment with new flavors. It is important to note that due to technical issues, (i.e. melting ) there was no chocolate matzoh in the challenge. We suspect, if we'd been able to test chocolate matzoh, it would have wound up on top.

Thank you to all who participated.
A happy Passover celebration to all.
